GWI leverages ADTRAN’s Total Access 5000 to blanket Maine with high-value services

HUNTSVILLE, USA: ADTRAN Inc., a leading provider of next-generation networking solutions, announced that GWI, a leader in Northern New England’s telecommunications industry, has become the latest service provider in Maine to deploy ADTRAN’s market leading multiservice broadband platform to meet the growing bandwidth and rich media service demands from the Pine Tree State.

GWI is working with ADTRAN to expand its service offering and drive new revenue opportunities to business and residential customers throughout Maine and New Hampshire with a next-generation network infrastructure built on the Total Access® 5000 solution.

GWI selected ADTRAN’s Total Access 5000 to future-proof its network and launch new services rapidly and profitably while transitioning legacy services to a next-generation Ethernet infrastructure. GWI is now in a position to offer highly competitive services such as bundled voice, broadband Internet, cloud computing, video, Carrier Ethernet and any future services their residential and business customers require over time. This is possible due to the platform’s unique ability to deliver Ultra Broadband, FTTH, Carrier Ethernet (over fiber, wavelengths and multi-pair bonding), Mobile Backhaul, Packet Optical and Services Migration all from one platform which is managed by an intelligent, service-aware Advanced Operational Environment (AOE).
